American eCommerce’s Buying Confidence Team is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to help improve user confidence in their purchase decisions by developing mobile purchasing experience features.

An ideal candidate will:

Have extensive experience building web technologies and employ a customer-centric and product focus 

Be comfortable collaborating closely with product managers and designers, providing estimates or product ideas that will influence the team’s roadmap 

Have a “leave it better than you found it” mentality, working with and improving upon existing code 

Love to experiment and use data to drive decision-making 

Enjoy mentoring other engineers 

Be a mindful, transparent and communicative member of the team 

Take ownership of work from ideation through completion

Requirements 

3-6 years of full-stack web development experience, particularly with PHP and JavaScript 

Strong object-oriented programming skills 

Strong JavaScript front-end engineering skills 

Experience in product development 

Experience with A/B testing, feature flags, and modern experiment-driven development 

Excellent communication skills, with an enthusiastic and positive attitude 

Experience collaborating with a cross-functional team

Nice to Have

Experience implementing progressive web applications

Experience optimizing web pages for performance
