Job Description:

Job Description: A non-profit organization, based in Bahria Town Islamabad and operations all over the country, is seeking the services of an efficient person to contribute and support the planning and execution of projects, under the director supervision of the Director Programs, the Project Manager shall carry out the following tasks:

  • Responsible for overall project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the current public health projects
  • Conducts grant/contract assessments and prepares reports necessary to program continuity and reporting. Monitors compliance with grant/contract requirements. Identifies problems and negotiates corrective action concerning programmatic issues and basic budgetary management.
  • Plans, promotes, and develops programs by stimulating activity and providing leadership.
  • Develops budgets, staffing plans, and action plans to ensure proper personnel, facilities, and supplies to meet grant/contract deliverables and reporting.
  •  Performs work related to the initiation, administration, and closeout of contracts, grants, or cooperative agreements.
  •  Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  •  Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  •  Ensure resource availability and allocation
  •  Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  •  Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  •  Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  •  Report and escalate to management as needed
  •  Manage the relationship with all stakeholders
  •  Perform risk management to minimize project risk
  •  Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  •  Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  •  Use and continually develop leadership skills
  •  Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
  •  Perform other related duties as assigned.

Relevant Education and Experience:

  •  MBBS & Preferably Post-Graduation in Public Health.  Master’s degree in Management Sciences , Project Management or comparable academic qualification; PMP certification and higher qualifications is highly desirable.
  •  5-10 years of work experience in the social sectors in governmental, nonprofit organizations or iNGOs, preferably at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role in Public Health or TB related Project.
  •  Proficient in project management skills such as high-level planning, organizational and time management, including flexibility, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet imminent deadlines.
  •  Strong management and communication skills with the ability to provide clear direction and feedback to the team; set realistic objectives, periodically measuring them and adopt a corrective course, when required.
  •  Strong research, analysis, and presentation skills.
  •  Fluency in written and spoken English.
  •  Pro-active team-building attitude with a proven ability to engage with multidisciplinary and diverse teams.

 Research and evaluation.

  •   Knowledge of the national public health care agenda, issues, impacts.
  •   In depth knowledge of public health programs, research, infrastructure, and current issues and best practices.
  •  Skill and ability to use automated office equipment and software programs.
  •   Ability to use tact and diplomacy with all sensitive issues and special situations.
